Written, recorded and produced in summer of 2017, You Cannot Enter The Disco is an electronic dance album with a synth pop music feel. Following My Name is Claude’s signature existential approach to both life and music, the work is more complex than its form initially suggests.

“You Cannot Enter The Disco is an album about the feeling of “not fitting” in the world. It is also an invitation to not try to fit but instead to turn towards a community of people that are like you."

The album, which is digitally presented as an A and B side, as in traditional vinyl production, tells a non-linear story of a form of “enlightenment.” It opens with “Down the Road,” a song about a place where a so-called “lower” part of society goes to sadly dance together, and closes with “Give Me the Eyes,” about deep understanding of what lies beneath the real concept of being.

With compelling beats, upbeat synthesizer and clear, joyous vocals, You Cannot Enter The Disco invites you to the dance floor for a journey of self discovery and understanding.

MNIC has also especially woven together the tracks of each of the A- and B-Sides of You Cannot Enter The Disco, and these two mixes are available as bonus tracks on all Bandcamp album sales, and will be streaming on Soundcloud from the 19th.
